Job description
What will you be doing?The post is for alternate weeks, comprising 28 hours per week summer and 23 hours per week autumn/winter and attend bi-monthly one hour meetings. Averaging 13.13 hours per week.At KCC’s largest and busiest country park, we require a part-time Country Park to maintain the site and its facilities in a clean, safe and attractive state through litter picking, carrying out minor repairs, assisting and guiding visitors, enforcing site rules and reporting problems.The winter hours are, 1 hr per day at dusk Mon – Fri, 8 hrs Sat and 8 hrs on Sun and Bank Hols. The Summer hours are, 2 hrs per day Mon –Fri (the 2 hours before dusk), 8 hrs on Sat and 8 hrs on Sun & Bank Hols. Plus 2 hours additional hours per week patrolling the wider woodlands.You will be reliable and possess good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude towards customer care. A basic knowledge of the countryside is important, together with a flexible attitude to working hours and a level of fitness appropriate to the needs of the job.
