This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a community-based, specialist ARFID Pathway within the East London Community Eating Disorder Service for...
1. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload in the day-to-day allocation of work within the ARFID Pathway.
2. To deputise when required in the ARFID Pathway Lead's absence on paediatric matters and delegate appropriately to other medical staff.
3. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them.
4. To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes.
5. To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing and controlling risk, and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust's risk register.
To act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions, guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.
The post holder will have full registration with a licence to practise on the General Medical Council (GMC).
Further professional knowledge will have been gained through accredited courses, workshops, study and in-house training programmes.
To be responsible and accountable for the paediatric physical health input to children and young people on the ARFID Pathway.

Qualifications
Essential
- MB BS or equivalent
- MRCP / MRCPCH or equivalent
Desirable
- BSc in medical subject
- PhD, MD MSc, DCH
Professional training
Essential
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Community Child Health or Paediatrics or equivalent (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview)
- Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) (CESR candidates must have written GMC confirmation upon successful application)
- 6 months Clinical experince of working in Community Paediatrics
Desirable
- SPIN or Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability
- CCT in community Child helath
Clinical Knowledge
Essential
- Ability to conduct assessments for children in care
- Extensive experience of working in a multidisciplinary Child Development Team and the ability to seek advice from, share experience with, and offer support to other team members
- Competent in management of common general paediatric problems - acute o and chronic
- Up to date with Level 3 competences in Safeguarding Children
- oable to conduct and supervise of Child Protection Medical Assessments
- Experience working in partnership with Education, Social Care and other stakeholders
Desirable
- Previous experience as Named Dr for Looked after chidren or Child protection
- o has held role of medcial advisor for adoption and Experience of writing reports for Adoption panel
- Experience of attending Child death review meetings and/or contributing CDOP Panel
- Current portfolio in research
- Competent use of Griffiths III or other similar developmental assessment tool
- Experience in managing children with complex neurological and developmental problems
- Experince of work in autism
