The post-holder will be responsible to the Divisional Director of Unplanned Care at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post is a minimum of 9 PA including 7 PA DCC and 2 SPA. SPA includes clinical and educational supervision, audit, personal CPD and mandatory training. Personal CPD must be included as part of annual appraisal which is mandatory and required for the revalidation process.
The post holder will, together with his or her consultant colleagues and other health care professionals in the Directorate, provide an effective and comprehensive service on the Stroke unit and the outpatient Stroke clinics. The post holder will work closely with colleagues to support quality improvement and service development in the department.
The post holder will provide consultant input to the Stroke unit, ESD and outpatient Stroke services.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Essential
- Full GMC Registration with License to Practice
- MRCP or equivalent
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Geriatrics or within six months of the expected date of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in both Geriatrics and General Internal Medicine OR Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register
Desirable: - Higher degree eg MD, PhD; - Attended management training course; - Attended leadership training course
