The team requires support from an enthusiastic fellowship-trained ENT Head & Neck Cancer surgeon who can independently manage all aspects of Head & Neck Oncology, Thyroid Surgery and modern consultant-led cancer pathways including ERS triage, two-week-wait triage, telescopic referral review and virtual diagnostic pathway activity.

The successful applicant will be expected to work within UHNM's evolving Head & Neck Cancer pathways, including consultant-led referral triage, virtual review of telescopic examinations, risk-stratified cancer assessment pathways and digitally enabled outpatient services. The postholder should demonstrate adaptability to new models of service delivery and a commitment to service development and innovation.

The successful applicant will be expected to support the ENT team with surgical and clinical activity whilst contributing to reduction of service backlogs.

Successful applicants would be expected to take part in the on-call rota for the department based on a 1:9 weekday frequency and 1:15 weekend frequency as this is shared with Mid Cheshire NHS Trust.
