- As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dermatology clinics, including:
- Assessing, diagnosing and managing patients across 2WW and General Dermatology pathways.
- Undertaking comprehensive dermatological examinations and clinical assessments.
- Assessing and managing patients with suspected skin cancer where appropriate.
- Developing and communicating appropriate treatment and management plans.
- Providing specialist clinical advice and guidance to patients and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and communicating outcomes appropriately.
- Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Consultant Dermatologist 2WW & General Dermatology Clinics
18 Week Support is seeking experienced Consultant Dermatologists to support 2WW and General Dermatology clinics across our NHS services.
This is an opportunity to join experienced clinical teams and contribute to reducing NHS waiting lists while delivering high-quality, timely and patient-centred care.
Main DutiesAs a Consultant Dermatologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dermatology clinics, including:
- Assessing, diagnosing and managing patients across 2WW and General Dermatology pathways.
- Undertaking comprehensive dermatological examinations and clinical assessments.
- Assessing and managing patients with suspected skin cancer where appropriate.
- Developing and communicating appropriate treatment and management plans.
- Providing specialist clinical advice and guidance to patients and colleagues.

18 Week Support is a leading NHS insourcing provider, working in partnership with NHS Trusts across the UK to increase clinical capacity, reduce waiting times and improve patient access to care.
Our clinical teams work alongside NHS services to deliver additional outpatient and surgical capacity, supported by experienced Clinical Leads and Nurse Leads. Patient safety, clinical governance and quality of care are central to everything we do.
Qualifications
Essential
- Person Specification Essential Criteria
- GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register in Dermatology.
- Previous NHS clinical experience.
- Experience delivering 2WW and/or General Dermatology clinics.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care.
