  • Contributing to the ongoing development, innovation and strategic direction of cardiology services within the Trust.
  • Playing a full role in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programmes.
  • Participating in and supporting research activity and the application of evidence-based medicine to improve patient care.
  • Delivering teaching and training to undergraduate medical students, resident doctors and other healthcare professionals.

The post provides opportunities to develop specialist interests within cardiology, including imaging, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, heart failure, inherited cardiac conditions, arrhythmia services and other areas aligned to departmental priorities and the successful candidate's expertise. The successful applicant will also have opportunities to become involved in research, medical education and service transformation as part of a forward-looking department committed to delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.
