Provide

Undertake

comprehensive pre-operative assessment and optimisation.

teams and allied health professionals.

Contribute

to theatre efficiency and utilisation.

Participate

in emergency response and clinical deterioration management, where required.

incident review and learning processes.

Ensure

compliance with CQC standards and professional guidance.

Maintain

accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

Demonstrate

service redesign and innovation.

junior clinicians, colleagues and medical students.

The successful candidate/s will provide

high-quality consultant anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical and

Qualifications

Essential

  • Primary Medical Qualification recognised by the GMC.
  • Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise.
  • FRCA or equivalent.
  • Completion of specialist training in Anaesthesia.
  • CCT in Anaesthesia or eligibility for Specialist Register entry

Desirable

  • MSc, MD or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Additional qualifications in:
  • Perioperative Medicine
  • Regional Anaesthesia
  • Patient Safety
  • Medical Leadership

Experience

Essential

  • Broad experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist.
  • Experience delivering anaesthesia independently.
  • Experience in perioperative assessment and optimisation / enhanced recovery.
  • Evidence of multidisciplinary working.
  • Audit and quality improvement experience.

Desirable: - Regional anaesthesia expertise.; - Independent sector experience.; - Teaching and training experience.; - Service development experience
