Are you an established Health Care Assistant looking to expand your knowledge within a clinic and a home visit setting? Join our supportive and experi...

Work in partnership with patients, carers and enable patients to make informed choices. Have an awareness and comply with the principles of Infection control and prevention within a clinical environment.

Maintain a high standard of individualised patient care and report any changes in their condition or concerns to the Registered nurse in clinic.

Adhere to Trust's Risk Management procedures including incident reporting and complaints procedure. Comply with legal requirements e.g., Data Protection, Caldicott.

Ensure that all equipment provided is maintained and in good order. Report any damaged/non-functioning equipment to the Registered Nurseand ensure adequate stock levels.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ 2 Completion of Care Certificate

Desirable

  • Completed Tissue Viability Course for HCA's or relevant study days

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Base

Essential

  • Ability to work as part of a nursing team

Desirable

  • Experience working within Primary Health Care
  • Previous experience of wound care

Personal qualities/attributes

Essential

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Flexible and able to prioritise time and resources

Additional Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively

Business travel

Essential

  • Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business Level 1
