- Promotes a 'can do' attitude and determination to develop and sustain a dynamic and responsive clinical and administrative support service within a Community Team setting which delivers best practice.
- To deal appropriately with interruptions, unpredictable events and behaviours.
- To organise and deliver skilled clinical support work / phlebotomy without direct supervision.
- Gain valid informed consent and work within legal frameworks with patients.
- To liaise with nursing and therapists with regard to patient care, highlighting any variations to expected outcomes from agreed treatment programmes.
- To provide basic verbal and written clinical reports to the supervising Nurse and / or therapist and to document patient interventions/findings in patient records in line with Trust Record Keeping Policy.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Phlebotomy skills
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a health care setting and /or delivering phlebotomy
Knowledge
Essential
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Understanding of clinical governance
- Understanding of risk management ability
- Ability to work autonomously
- Evidence of evaluating clinical practice
- Experience of using IT in clinical practice
