To provide specialist therapy skills within the Community Care Team.

To assess and treat own caseload, which may include complex presentations and to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner.

To assist senior staff in the education and supervision of junior colleagues, assistants and students.

To assist senior staff in daily management of the team and provision of therapy service, deputising for the team leader in their absence.

To assist senior staff in development and maintenance of an efficient and effective therapy service.

To contribute to the inter-disciplinary working within the Community therapy team and Locality by teaching, learning & practicing inter-disciplinary skills & techniques as defined by an agreed competency framework or training scheme.

Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.

Qualifications

Essential

  • UK Health Professions Council registered Occupational Therapist
  • FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE is required at time of applying forrole.
  • As this role is out in the community, we cannot accept applicants with a non-GB licence (GOV website states - Driving in Great Britainon a non-GB licence. You can drive in Great Britain on your full, valid driving licence for 12 months from when you became resident. After 12 months you'll need to apply for a provisional licence and pass the theory and practical driving tests to drive in Great Britain.)
