We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Research Fellow to join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department within the Women an...

The post will enable the successful applicant to develop research skills in reproductive medicine, with a focus on PCOS and metabolic health. The role includes involvement in systematic reviews, data analysis, and development of clinical research projects, including preparation for governance and ethical approvals. The appointee will complete NIHR Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training and support recruitment and delivery of clinical research studies. There will be opportunities to contribute to fertility, weight management and general gynaecology clinics, and to gain experience in research within ambulatory and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Primary medical qualification (MBBS/MBChB) or equivalent

Desirable

  • MRCOG
  • ALS

Clinical Experience

Essential

  • Completion of foundation training
  • At least ST1 equivalent subsequent NHS clinical work

Desirable

  • Recent experience in Obs/Gynae

Professional and Multi-disciplinary team working

Essential

  • Ability to work well with colleagues and within a team

Clinical Effectiveness

Essential

  • Experience of conducting clinical audit
  • Ability to use the evidence base and clinical audit to support decision-making

Desirable

  • Led audit projects and completed audit cycle
  • Experience in statistics methods
