The successful individual will be part of a developing Nursing Team, consisting of a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Staff Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.The post holder will:
Provide high quality care to patients that require systemic and biological therapy monitoring for psoriasis, eczema and acne. The individual will have their own monitoring clinics, assessing the patients condition and holistic needs.Perform phototherapy treatments to patients with skin conditionsPerform skin surgery and support for patients diagnosed with skin cancerSupport junior members of the teamManagerial duties
The successful applicant will have responsibility for their own case load with support from the Consultants and Senior Nurse Specialists. They will ensure high standards of nursing care development and quality improvement.
The post is full time 37.5 hours per week over Monday-Friday, and may involve some cross site working.

Experience
Essential: - Experience working within Dermatology
Desirable: - Clinical expertise in Dermatology procedures i.e phototherapy, minor surgery (i.e. performing of); - Experience within Biological therapy monitoring
Qualifications
Essential: - RGN Level 1; - Has First level degree, BSc Qualification or will be working towards attaining this.
Desirable: - Non-medical prescribing qualification.; - Phototherapy course or willingness to undertake
Skills
Essential: - Effective interpersonal skills/liaison skills; - Must demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm for the senior post.
Other
Essential: - Flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the department
