The Clinical Imaging Assistant will be required to undertake a very wide range of duties under the direct supervision of the Clinical Imaging staff, and these will encompass clerical, patient care and the transportation of patients to all Imaging departments.
You will need to be an excellent communicator with good inter-personal skills, have a practical approach and mechanical aptitude. A good general education is necessary including being computer literate with good IT skills.

Qualification
Essential
- Good education to include Grade A-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics and/or relevant NVQ Level 2
Desirable
- Experience of working in Ultrasound as an assistant
Exeperience in healthcare
Essential
- Prior experience of working with the general public
- Computer literate with basic IT skills
Desirable
- Previous experience of working within the NHS of Healthcare system
Practical/Intellectual Skills
Essential
- Effective and adaptable communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to a consistently high standard
Desirable
- Knowledge of aseptic non technique and sterile procedures
- Able to complete pre-procedural checks in at least one modality
- Basic patient observation skills
Disposition / Adjustment
Essential
- Take responsibility for developing one self and motivated to learn
- Flexible in working patterns and location
Desirable
- Flexible approach to work. Ability to demonstrate commitment (through a collective agreement) to provide out of hours work, which may include Bank Holiday periods.
