Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+)/ Senior in Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambr...
The successful candidate will provide senior surgical cover for HPB patients including attending operating theatres, outpatient clinics, HPB MDT meetings, and covering the on-call rota for HPB surgery.
There will not be a commitment to General Surgery or Transplant Surgery on-calls. The successful candidate will join a team of SCFs and HPB Specialty Trainees. The appointee is expected to carry out a degree of clinical work independently.We have an excellent track record of providing sub-specialty training in HPB surgery including complex HPB resectional surgery. There will be ample opportunities to be engaged in research projects leading to publications.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council is essential to have in place at time of commencement.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

- MRCS or equivalent qualification

- Completed Core Surgical Training or equivalent
- Completion Specialty Registrar - General Surgery or equivalent training up to ST6 level
- Logbook indicating validated experience of appropriate range and number of clinical procedures
- Experience of dealing with general emergency admissions
- Awareness of medico-legal implications of work

- Appointment at Senior level - you are required to have completed Specialty Registrar training in the UK or equivalent with CCT
