You will be expected to enhance and substantially increase the existing early life and child health research on the Chelsea and Westminster campus and across West London Children's Healthcare. It is intended that you will have a focus on metabolic/endocrine paediatric medicine, encompassing a broad spectrum. Relevant research fields may range from cell and molecular biology, computational research, epidemiology, psychology and qualitative research amongst others

You will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty of Medicine and West London Children's Healthcare (WLCH), in particular the Mohn Centre for Child Health and Wellbeing and Imperial Centre for Paediatric and Child health (PaeCH), to support academic activity.

to join the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction within the Faculty of Medicine.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC (General Medical Council) registration E Applications
  • Appropriate specialist qualification. MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry
  • within 6 months of the date of the Advisory Appointments
  • Committee meeting. Note - CESR applicants must be on the specialist register at the
  • point of application
  • The post-holder should hold the membership of the Royal
  • College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH)
  • Further Higher Degree - MD, PhD or equivalent in a relevant
  • area

Experience

Essential

  • An established national reputation and a developing
  • international reputation and expertise in the field of paediatrics
  • A significant track record in attracting high levels of research
  • funding
  • Evidence of contribution to the development and performance
  • of colleagues through coaching and mentoring
  • Experience and capability to act as a role model in areas of
  • research, teaching and management as appropriate
  • Extensive experience in leading the design of research
  • programmes
  • An excellent publication record
