Main Duties
- Front Desk Management Greet patients, handle appointments (bookings, cancellations, reminders), and manage enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Patient Records & Data Handling Update and maintain electronic health records on SystmOne, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Clinical Admin Support Assist GPs and nurses with tasks like processing referrals, test results, and prescription requests.
- Prescription & Workflow Management Process repeat prescriptions, liaise with pharmacies, and manage clinical correspondence.
- Team Collaboration Work closely with clinicians, reception staff, and external healthcare providers for seamless service delivery.
The job description is attached. We are seeking a full time candidate, 37.5 hours per week. Expectations can be discussed in depth at the interview. The ideal candidate will have clear and effective communication and organisation skills, which will come naturally to them whilst supporting colleagues in the delivery of an outstanding patient experience. Having evidence of delivering a high level of customer care to patients will be vital in supporting the business in achieving its objectives.
The population of Cranfield and Marston is expecting to double over the next 5-10 years and we are looking for an individual who has the ability to thrive in a team environment and support the implementation of our organisational plan.
We provide excellent healthcare, with both clinical staff consisting of GP's, Nurses, FCP's, Midwives, Mental Health Link Workers, Social Prescriber CAMHS, HCA's and community staff, Clinical Pharmacist and Clinical Technicians. and administrative staff, including administrative staff.
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ level 1 or 2 in customer care GCSE English, Maths Grade C or above
Desirable
- Ability to use Systm1 software Experience in working in Primary Care/NHS Ability to use Microsoft Office, Word/Excel
