As a Children Looked After Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in care. Your work will ensure that each childs individual needs are met, and you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide tailored care. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, helping them thrive and achieve their full potential.
Work closely with children and young people in care to assess and address their health needs.
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams.
Provide advice, support, and advocacy to ensure children and young people have access to appropriate services and resources
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Qualified and experienced community nurse with a valid NMC registration.
Proven experience working with children looked after, demonstrating understanding of their specific needs.
Strong ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse / Registered Childrens Nurse Specialist community public health practitioner Health Visiting
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
- Recognise and respond appropriately to child safeguarding concerns
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of contributing to a clinical governance framework, e.g.
- standards setting group, clinical audit, etc
- Experience of children in care
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification
- Previous community experience
