The main responsibilities of the job include
- Responsible for the day to day operation of the Catering Service within a caf & Ward
- Prepare food and work with Community Catering Manager to devise menus.
- Ensure food and hygiene standards are met ensuring adherance to all Food Safety Regulations and Legislation.
- Following HACCP and COSHH
- Reporting faults and hazards to the appropriate person.
- Keeping records for traceability.
- Train staff and ensuring mandatory training is complete.
- Dealing with any issues arising within the catering department.
- Cashing up at the end of the day.
- Ordering food and work with the Community Catering Manager to devise menu's
- Stock management and ordering of stock from approved suppliers
- Dealing Sickness, Rotas & Wages
