Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To undertake food service duties in staff kitchen and visitor restaurant and all other retail outlets.
- To assist in the patient and restaurant food production kitchen as directed by the management team (preparation, cooking and storing).
- Assist in the service of food items as required.
- To prepare the patient meal service area with the necessary service equipment, cutlery, crockery meal trays, food etc. Portioning, plating and service of Patients Meals.
- To ensure that all food is served is of a high standard, mindful of portion control, meal content, correct temperatures and food presentation.
- To assist with the safe and effective cleaning of meal service areas and equipment after service.

Education & Qualifications
Desirable
- Good standard of general education
- NVQ 1 Customer Service
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Knowledge
Essential
- Awareness of safe working practices
- Awareness of different cleaning methods
- Ability to follow a set of instructions / programme of work.
Desirable
- Use of cleaning equipment including Brushes, mops, floor cleaning machines, Dishwashers
- Safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Good personal hygiene practices
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking and store

- Previous experience in similar working environment
