Job description

Were recruiting Catering Assistants to join our friendly Facilities Team at our Outstanding CQC-rated hospice in Bradford.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team, helping to provide high-quality catering services for patients, families, visitors and colleagues. As a Catering Assistant, youll play an important role in ensuring meals and refreshments are prepared, served and delivered with care, compassion and attention to detail.

Youll be working in a meaningful environment where every contribution makes a difference, supporting the smooth running of the hospice and helping to create a welcoming experience for everyone who comes through our doors.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 2 £25,272 pro rata per annum + enhancements

Hours/Contract: 3 days per week including weekends and bank holidays 6.25 hours per day (18.75 hours per week) between 7.30 am to 6 pm

The Marie Curie Bradford Hospice offers exceptional care in a welcoming environment for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. Our Cafe operates daily from 8 am 10 am and 12 noon 2 pm Monday to Friday, providing a variety of refreshments, light snacks, and meals for patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers.

As a member of our catering team, reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist in the daily provision of all catering services at the Hospice. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our level 5 food hygiene rating and our commitment to delivering consistently high-quality food service.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, performing general kitchen duties, food preparation, and cooking simple meals under the direction of the Head Chef or Chef. Flexibility, a well-presented appearance, and strong organisational skills are essential.
