Care WorkerJob Information Care Worker (Part-Time, 30 Hours per Week) Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? The Pottergate Centre is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Care Worker to join our friendly and supportive team. We provide a vibrant, person-centred day service for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs in the heart of Alnwick.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. The Pottergate Centre, Howling Lane, Alnwick, NE66 1DJSalary: £27,274 - £29,071 FTE (pro rata)Permanent | Part-Time (30 hours per week) About the Role As a Care Worker, you will play an important role in promoting the wellbeing, confidence and independence of the people we support. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals with activities based on their needs, goals and interests.Helping service users access and enjoy opportunities within their local community.Providing personal care and administering medication (full training provided).Delivering and supporting a varied programme of activities and events.Acting as a keyworker and maintaining accurate, professional records.Assisting with transport duties as a driver or passenger assistant when required. Has a good standard of education, with strong literacy and numeracy skills.Has a positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for supporting others.Can work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships.Is willing to undertake training and uphold the highest standards of care.Holds a full driving licence (desirable but not essential).
