The successful candidates will work as an integral member of the practice team. A significant proportion of the role (approximately 25 hours per week) will involve reception duties, with the remaining time covering a variety of administrative tasks, including complex clinical reporting and managing triage. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with excellent communication and organisational skills, and strong attention to detail.
Job Purpose
To
provide support to the administration/care coordinator team, ensuring an
efficient, professional, and calm working environment is maintained and adhered
to at all times
To
demonstrate and promote the standards expected by the practice and create the
energy and enthusiasm for the service delivery and business as a whole
To deliver all
related functions in the admin department, to support and help cover the
team in staff absence
To set and ensure
working standards/targets are met
To
project positive and respectful representation to all patients, visitors, and
outside agencies in person or via the telephone
Joint
responsibility for the production, performance, and quality standards within
the administration team
To
provide an efficient and calm working environment for the smooth running of the
reception area.
To
assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare
provider.
To
provide general assistance to the practice team and patients through good
communication.
To
project positive and respectful representation to all patients, visitors, and
outside agencies in person or via the telephone.
To
provide a comprehensive repeat prescribing support service to doctors,
patients, associate medical specialists, and nurses.
To
always uphold and maintain practice and patient confidentiality.
To
support the Practice Managers where required

Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to produce accurate, clear and professional written correspondence.
