Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and capable individual to join our Kettering Adult Social Care Team as a Business Support Officer (BSO), working 29 hours per week and officed based. This is a rewarding role at the heart of a dedicated team that provides essential support and services to people in the community.

In this position, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, helping the team to operate smoothly and efficiently. As the team's primary administrative contact, you will have a varied workload and play a key role in supporting day-to-day activities. You will also be part of a wider Business Support network, working alongside colleagues across different teams who share expertise, collaborate regularly, and provide ongoing support to one another.

What will you be doing?

Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately.

Inputting and maintaining accurate data in internal databases.

Managing and updating a shared inbox

Taking minutes during meetings and distributing documentation accordingly.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Confidence in handling a high volume of telephone calls.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.

A proactive, reliable, and well-organised individual with the ability to use initiative.
