Bank Midwife - Huntingdon/Peterborough

You will provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and their families in line with the NMC Code and supported by local policies and guidelines, and the recommendations of the Better Births report.

You will demonstrate excellent clinical skills while providing leadership to junior colleagues and students within their area of work.

You will play an active part in the development of the midwifery services within the Maternity Unit.

We are committed to supporting colleagues through organisational change. Priority will be given to staff at risk within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board

Education and Qualifications

Essential: - Registered Midwife

Desirable: - Relevant Degree or evidence of further study and experience to the equivalent; - Sign Off Mentor

Experience

Essential: - Minimum of 2 years clinical experience

Desirable: - Computer Literate and knowledge of digital platforms; - Evidence of participation in risk and clinical governance agendas

Key Skills

Essential: - Ability to write reports, guidelines, etc; - Excellent record keeping skills; - Ability to develop self and others to use evidence based practice
