Job title: Bank Event Medical Paramedic

Department: Patient and Events Medical Services

Hours: Bank, as and when required

Salary: Range 6 £38,020 - £46,193 pro rata, per annum. You will be appointed on a fixed point within the range.

An opportunity has arisen to join CPG in the role of Medical Events Paramedic for our Event and Patient Transport service.

You will

  • Act as an autonomous practitioner for the assessment, treatment, diagnosis

supplying and administering of medicines, managing, discharging and referring

patients in a range of urgent, emergency, critical or out of hospital settings.

Undertake a range

of clinical intervention some including life sustaining treatments.

  • Provide effective

clinical leadership, development and mentorship to operational personnel,

including newly qualified paramedics and students to support the delivery of a

high quality patient centred service.

In return you will be part of a developing service in line with the

wider emergency and urgent care agenda, have access to training and a flexible approach

to work. You will receive ongoing support and development.

Experience

Essential

  • Post registration experience to include working within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environments
  • Experience of advanced clinical assessment and care intervention
  • Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Ability to undertake advanced clinical assessment and appropriate action managing patient risk effectively and safely
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
  • Effective use and knowledge of databases / spreadsheets, with well developed data collection skills
  • Effective high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Reflective practitioner
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to analyse data and information, drawing out implications for the individual patient/impact on care plan
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication pathways within the organisation, commissioners, other providers and key external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of the application of NICE guidance

  • Knowledge of SystmOne

Essential

  • Have the ability to transport self around NE Lincs and surrounding area

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree/diploma level in Paramedicine
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • ALS, PHTLS, PHEC or other advanced clinical courses
  • Educator or mentor qualification
  • Category B and Category C1 driving
  • Blue Light Advanced driver

Desirable

  • Additional post registration qualification
  • V300 prescribing or working towards
