With a patient-focused approach, you will;
- Support the pharmacy department in the provision of complete pharmaceutical care to patients
- Deliver a high quality ward based medicines optimisation service to a multitude of areas throughout the Trust
- Act as a role model and provide training and mentoring to junior staff members
- Support the inpatient pharmacy where required
- Carry out accuracy checking commitments
- A nationally recognised pharmacy technician qualification and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Currently practicing as a registered pharmacy technician with at least one year's post-qualification experience
- A nationally recognised accredited accuracy checking qualification.
- A professional attitude with the ability to motivate self and others
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- A flexible approach and commitment to accommodate the needs of the service
- A strong attention to detail
- Experience working as a clinical pharmacy technician or similar capacity is desirable
This post offers in-service development training and the opportunity to gain valuable skills in a clinical role. A requirement to participate in evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rotational basis will be necessary.
