We are seeking an enthusiastic audiologist to join our friendly, dedicated team based at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. The post will involve...
- To provide diagnostic audiological testing of adults, to be responsible for the safe use and calibration of equipment and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- To provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to adults including determining care plans for individual patients, and involving carers and families as appropriate.
- To take an active role in areas of clinical audit, research and clinical governance for the Audiology service and contributing to the development of evidence based protocols.
- To plan and prioritise elements of own workload, within the framework of service delivery priorities as defined by the line manager, and supervise the work of trainees/students and volunteers as required.

Qualifications
Essential
- Audiology Degree with one year clinical placement and evidence of clinical competence Or MSc in Audiological Science with the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Desirable
- Evidence of CPD
- British Sign Language
- Registered or in process of registration for Voluntary registration with RCCP
- Membership of BAA and/or BSA
Experience
Essential
- Clinical placement, with evidence of broad experience and attainment as above, or broad experience as a band 5
- Experience of working within the NHS
Desirable
- Small area of responsibility within audiology and/or general administration
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of Audiological test procedures
- Deaf Awareness
Desirable
- Theoretical knowledge of Paediatric Audiology, and advanced Audiological test techniques.
