Job description
Key requirements for the position include: -Managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously across a range of category areas. -Leading and delivering end-to-end procurement exercises in accordance with public sector procurement legislation and best practice. -Category management experience, including sourcing strategy development, supplier management and stakeholder engagement. -Experience of contract implementation, negotiation, risk management and delivering procurement outcomes within complex organisations.
- MCIPS qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional procurement experience. -Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision. -Strong working knowledge of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act, with proven experience of delivering compliant procurement activity in line with governance and regulatory requirements. -Experience of independently leading procurement projects and providing commercial advice to stakeholders. -Essential local government procurement experience.
