You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and other health care professionals to the emergency department on arrival at the reception desk, whether this will be front facing or via telephone, to ensure they receive excellent customer service experience. The successful applicant will have a friendly and professional attitude, good IT and organisational skills and be able to accurately complete/input data. The successful candidate will also need to be able to deal with difficult and stressful situations with courtesy and empathy. The duties consist of patient registration using Careflow EPR (full training given). Other duties include appointment booking, scanning, dealing with a range of enquires, in person, by phone or by email in an efficient, polite and courteous manner.

Education and Qualification
Essential: - Good standard of general education
Desirable: - Computer skills/ECDL
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Essential: - good organisation skill and self management to multi task; - knowledge of office procedures including filing
Desirable: - Good keyboard skills
Experience
Essential: - Clerical/Administration experience; - Working with the public; - Customer service experience
Desirable: - Previous NHS experience
Personal Qualities
Essential: - good customer service skills for both internal and external users face to face and telephone
