Bewdley Medical Centre is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. Trainees and clinicia...
They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. As part of the Wyre Forest Health Partnership, the role will be based at Bewdley Medical Centre, with the opportunity to work at other WFHP sites by agreement.

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis.
Treat patients wishing to see a health care professional making any necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team.
Ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence and to acknowledge limitations.
Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded.
Prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework and considering the Worcestershire prescribing formula guidelines.
To liaise with a doctor regarding patients with complex problems who need the expertise of a general practitioner.

WFHP has been operating since December 2014 as a single Partnership, operating out of 5 surgeries, 3 are purpose built. We operate at scale and are at the forefront of primary care delivery in how we organise ourselves, having management and leverage for a large number of primary care employees (c250 people & c50 GPs). We also look after c 72 000 patients. We have a very strong quality improvement ethic, and are always looking to improve.
WFHP is working towards the NHS goals to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible. We actively encourage new staff to take an interest in this and build sustainable practice into their roles.

Qualifications
Essential
- Professional NMC Registration.
- Independent prescribing qualification. (Or working towards)
- Advanced clinical Practitioner qualification. (Or working towards)
- Experience in working as an autonomous practitioner.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the EMIS Web clinical system but not crucial as training will be given.
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience
Essential
- Excellent communication skills.
- Displays self-confidence and self-awareness especially in dealing with staff and patients.
- Ability to articulate the rationale for decisions.
- Clinical examination skills.
Desirable
- Experience in general practice.
