The main duties of the role will include:
- Lead the team in delivering high standards of patient care, embed clinical policies, guidelines and standardise clinical governance within the service area.
- Leading service development and change in practices, such as triage.
- Undertake day to day management of the department.
- A high degree of autonomy and complex decision making across an expanded scope of practise.
- Working with the Service Manager, Operations Lead and matron to develop the service and undertake day to day management tasks, audits and complete reports within the service.
- The role encompasses the four pillars of clinical practise, leadership and management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competencies.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- Registered with relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC)
- Independent Prescriber - V300
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
- Understanding of four pillars in Advanced Clinical Practice
Desirable: - Teaching/mentoring qualification; NHSE Digital Badge; - Minor injuries/illness training
Experience
Essential: - Minimum 5 years post-registration experience; At least 3 years in relevant clinical area; Experience managing complex cases
Desirable: - Experience in service development, protocol writing, or project management; - Experience in UTC, ED; Leadership in service development.
