The main duties of the role are transferring patient records in and out, coding, monitoring QOF alerts, inviting patients for annual reviews and vaccinations.
To provide administrative support and services to all members of the practice team, ensuring these are carried out within practice guidelines and policies.
- Transferring patient medical records in and out of the surgery.
- Invite patients for appointments for NHS health Checks, annual reviews and vaccinations.
- Coding of incoming documents.
- Design and run searches and reports as required.
- Monitor QOF alerts in co-ordination with the Administration Manager to ensure patient groups are targeted for appropriate action.
- General office duties as required.
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
- Provide cover for members of the administration and reception team during periods of sickness and annual leave.
Bersted Green Surgery is a friendly and forward-thinking GP practice based on the outskirts of Bognor Regis. We operate from a modern, purpose-built premises and provide care for around 13,000 patients.
You will be working as part of a close-knit team that includes receptionists, administrators, nurses, paramedics, GPs and management. We value teamwork, respect and high-quality care, and we are committed to supporting our staff with ongoing development.
Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of IT systems - Microsoft Office/Outlook

- Previous NHS experience
- Knowledge of SystmOne
