The post holders will provide full admin support to the North Tyneside Recovery Partnership multi-disciplinary team and partners. Main duties will include:

Reception meet & greet

Call handling

Detailed minute taking skills

Printing of prescriptions

Updating the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS) accurately and in a timely manner

Supporting covering other areas as required

Care, compassion and resilience in dealing with complex service users

The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets. This list is not exhaustive

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Word-processing skills at Level 3 (OCR/RSA Level 3 or equivalent qualification and/or demonstrable relevant experience) eg; NVQ Level 3 Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Audio Typing Qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Good level of education to O-level/GCSE or equivalent in English Language

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 Level 3 in Customer Care (or equivalent)2

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain and update patient information database(s)
  • Good working knowledge of office procedures
  • Previous secretarial experience
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own workload
  • Knowledge of NHS Policies and Procedures

Desirable

  • Experience in processing CPA, Mental Health Act and Safeguarding documentation
  • Experience using stock ordering systems and petty cash systems
  • Experience of working with medical records filing systems

Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Note taking skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills using own initiative
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times

Desirable

  • Shorthand skills
