The main duties of this post will include:

  • Management of Administrative Teams as allocated.
  • Responsibility for the delivery of specific key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work in conjunction with the Deputy General Manager and other Service Units and relevant staff within Trust, and external agencies, to ensure the optimum administrative flow of patients through outpatient and inpatient services.
  • To support the Deputy General Manager in the delivery of Service Unit business objectives taking personal responsibility for designated
  • Provide an administrative and note taking service for meetings within the Division to include preparation of agendas, circulation of documents prior to meetings, minute taking and chasing actions as allocated/requested.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or relevant experience
  • 5x GCSEs C grade or equivalent to include English and Mathematics

Desirable

  • Leadership & Management training

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Essential

  • Experience of managing waiting lists & adhering to KPIs
  • Experience of management of administrative teams

Desirable

  • Experience in HR policy application i.e managing capability/change management
  • Experience in managing appraisals

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of dealing with confidential or sensitive issues
  • Experience of working in a NHS Trust environment and interaction with consultants, clinicians and senior managers
