- QOF recalls managing patient recalls and follow-up.
- QOF reports running and monitoring QOF reports to support target achievement.
- GP2GP processing incoming and outgoing patient records.
- Registrations and deductions processing patient registrations, deductions and related administration.
- Referrals processing referrals and ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Scanning scanning and filing clinical and administrative correspondence.
- Coding accurately coding clinical information onto patient records.
- Summarising summarising new patient medical records.
- Safeguarding administration supporting safeguarding processes and records.
- Learning Disability (LD) administration supporting LD registers, recalls and administration.
- Severe Mental Illness (SMI) administration supporting SMI registers, reviews and recalls.
- Carers administration maintaining the carers register and associated recalls.
- Gold Standards Framework (GSF) providing administrative support for GSF patients.
- Blood pressure administration supporting blood pressure monitoring and recalls.
- Culling reviewing and culling patient records in line with guidance.
- Shared Care rejection administration processing shared care rejections, tracking actions and updating records.
This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the practice, including managing patient recalls, QOF activity, registrations, referrals, records management, coding, summarising, safeguarding, and maintaining key patient registers. The postholder supports efficient patient record administration, clinical governance processes, and day-to-day operational tasks to ensure high-quality patient care and practice performance.
Tutbury Practice is a friendly semi-rural GP surgery located in the village of
Tutbury, providing high-quality primary care to a patient population of
approximately 8,500. We proudly serve patients from Tutbury and the surrounding
areas, including Rolleston, Hatton, and Stretton.
clinical team is made up of three GP partners and three salaried GPs, supported by
a skilled multidisciplinary team that includes a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy
Technician, nurse practitioner, and first contact physiotherapist. We are also
fortunate to have a friendly, experienced nursing team, alongside a dedicated
administration and reception team who play a vital role in supporting patient
care.
practice operates a total digital triage system using accuRx, enabling
efficient access to care and streamlined patient communication. We use EMIS Web
and Docman to support safe, effective clinical practice and document
management.
Tutbury Practice is a training practice for GP registrars and medical students
and is an active research practice, contributing to research that helps improve
patient care locally and nationally. We hold regular clinical and practice
meetings to support teamwork, learning, and service development, and we
consistently achieve high QOF outcomes.

Experience
Essential: - Experience of working within general practice, primary care or the NHS.
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of GP clinical systems and processes, including QOF, GP2GP, referrals, coding, summarising and patient recalls, would be particularly beneficial.
Qualifications
Essential: - GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent
