MSK Physiotherapist

Your main responsibilities will include managing a clinical caseload of musculoskeletal patients as an autonomous practitioner both virtually and face to face.

Developing and maintaining a high level of skill and knowledge in all areas of clinical practice supported by your clinical supervisor and a structured capability framework.

The ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure with a positive and a welcoming disposition towards our patients and staff.

Build on your skills with regular in-service training, clinical supervision and allocated personal Continued Professional Development (CPD) time. There are also Trust-wide Clinical Special Interest Groups available. We have an established appraisal system to actively support your CPD.

Some travel is to be expected for training and to help meet service demands. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required subject to the provisions of 2010 Equality Act.

Involvement in the running of outpatient group sessions as provided by the service e.g. lower limb classes, back rehabilitation classes and shoulder class.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, embrace change and innovation, work well under pressure and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Essential: - Degree or Diploma Physiotherapy or current student working towards the above.; - Professional Registration with the Health Professions Council

Desirable: - Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

Experience

Essential: - Recent healthcare experience in a community/acute setting gained through student placement or previous employment

Knowledge

Essential: - Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS.; - Knowledge of up to date clinical practice

Desirable: - Evidence of continued relevant professional development

Skills and Abilities

Essential: - Competent IT skills; - Understanding of training needs in relation to post

Desirable: - Competent presentation skills
