We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Admin/Receptionist (part time or full time) to join our established GP practice team. This role...
- Provide reception cover and act as the first point of contact for patients
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, including professional telephone communication
- Support with insurance documentation and private medical reports
- Manage community and hospital referrals, including eRS referrals
- Invite and recall patients for regular health checks and appointments
- Register new patients and update patient records accurately
- Triage and process eConsults in line with practice procedures
- Assist the management team with administrative tasks and day to day support
- Support the handling of patient queries and complaints in a professional and confidential manner
- Use clinical systems such as SystmOne and AccuRx
- Carry out general administrative and clerical duties, including scanning, filing, document management
- Assist with any other administrative duties as required to support the smooth running of the practice
- Provide reception cover, welcoming patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and confidential manner
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls, ensuring excellent customer service and appropriate signposting of patient enquiries
- Process patient registrations, updates, and record maintenance accurately on the clinical system
- Support the management of community and hospital referrals, including eRS referrals
- Invite and recall patients for routine health checks, reviews, and appointments
- Assist with private work, including insurance forms and private medical reports
- Triage and process eConsults in accordance with practice procedures
- Respond to patient queries and support the management of complaints in a professional and sensitive manner
- Liaise with external organisations and suppliers, including hospitals, community services, IT help desks, and stock providers
- Maintain petty cash and assist with basic financial administration
- Support the management team with administrative tasks as required
- Use clinical and communication systems such as SystmOne and AccuRx
- Carry out general administrative and clerical duties, including scanning, filing, document management, and maintaining office inventory
- Assist with any additional administrative tasks required to support the smooth running of the practice

Experience
Essential
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working in a GP practice or a similar setup
Qualifications
Essential
- SystmOne or EMIS trained
- Excellent communication skills
- Worked previously in a GP or similar setup
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Basic IT skills, MS Excel and MS Office
