Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Oversight:Responsibility for the operational management of the adult mental health teams, ensuring alignment with the local PCN/neighbourhood sites.

Responsibility for the functioning of the teams, ensuring that it delivers high-quality mental health care in line with organisational, ICB and national NHSE standards.

2. Performance Management and Productivity

Oversee the teams operational performance, ensuring adherence to clinical, financial, and operational targets. This includes monitoring case load and ensuring the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs).

Provide monthly assurance reports to senior management, detailing teams performance, any variance in deliverables, and a clear action plan for addressing discrepancies. Proactively identify any risks and implement mitigation strategies.

3. Collaboration with the Professional Leads:Work closely with professionals to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care delivery within the teams. Regularly working together to assess team performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency.

Collaborate to review care pathways and identify opportunities for service improvement, ensuring that operational targets and clinical standards are met.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC or RMN registration NMC, SWE or HCPC
  • Professional qualification at Diploma/Degree level i.e. RMN, HCPC, SWE
  • Leadership/management qualification or relevant training and experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Significant relevant experience of operating effectively as a senior leader in a health or social care environment
  • Experience of working in adult mental health services
  • Proven ability to successfully manage Change and Service Redesign
  • Experience of working closely with people with lived experience and Carer representative to co-design improvements to system level service delivery
