We are looking for a dedicated and creative Wraparound Care assistant to join the thriving wraparound care provision at our friendly and welcoming primary school. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children at the end of the school day.

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that cater to a range of interests and age groups
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children attending the club
  • Supervise and support children's play, social interactions, and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and external agencies as needed
  • Maintain health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures at all times

  • Have experience working with children in a play, childcare, or school setting
  • Be a friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who enjoys working with children
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • A commitment to providing a safe and engaging environment

  • happy, enthusiastic children who enjoy coming to school
  • a highly motivated, friendly and caring staff team
  • excellent opportunities for professional development and support
  • the support of a committed Governing Body and Leadership Team

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:

  • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
  • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
  • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)

Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:

Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:

38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:

38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.

Closing date: 16/10/2026

Interview date: to be confirmed
