Ward Clerk - Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries

• Providing a welcoming reception service for patients, relatives, and visitors.
• Attending the daily multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting to support patient flow and communication.
• Managing admissions using the National Spinal Cord Injury Database and requesting external imaging via SECTRA.
• Handling sensitive and confidential information with patients and families following life-changing spinal injuries.
• Coordinating Progress and Goal Planning meetings with patients and relatives.
• Obtaining quotes for specialist spinal injury equipment purchases and rentals.
• Arranging patient transport with Ambulance Trusts across the West Midlands and North Wales.
• Monitoring shared ward email inboxes and ensuring timely communication and administrative support for the multidisciplinary team.

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 Business/Admin or demonstratable experience.
• Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems, such as answering queries, progress chasing, task-related problem solving, acquired through experience.

Desirable

• NVQ Level 2 in Customer Care

• Experience of using Microsoft Office Applications

• Qualification in word processing/IT skills.
