Meet and receive patients, visitors and other members of staff to the ward in a polite, courteous and professional manner.Answer the telephone and relay accurate messages as appropriate.Maintain effective communications between patients, their relatives and the team within the department.Liaise with all members of the multi professional team to ensure effective communications are maintained within the department and with other areas in the Trust.Report complaints or concerns to the nurse in charge.Assist in the orientation of new staff to the ward within the ward clerk remit.Be responsibility for ensuring that the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of patients, relatives and colleagues is respected at all times.Keeping Epic System up to date re capacity (admissions, discharges, transfers etc).Being able to support grieving relatives and show compassion is a must

- Numerate and literate
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or equivalent experience

- -Educated to GCSE level A-C or equivalent
