Make a Real Difference Every NightLocation: Goldcrest LodgeHours: 7:00pm – 7:00am (Night Shift) - some weekend workContract: Part-Time (as required) circa 24 hoursAbout Goldcrest LodgeGoldcrest Lodge is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Night Care Support Workers to join our team. Working as part of our experienced care team, you will help provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment throughout the night.What You'll Be DoingProviding Outstanding Care Support the Head of Care, Deputy, and Senior staff to maintain the highest standards of careFollow medical guidance and administer care in line with individual care plansCarry out regular welfare checks on children throughout the night (minimum every 15 minutes where required)Comfort, settle, and support children who wake during the nightPromote the dignity, privacy, and wellbeing of every child Household Duties Complete laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and putting away bedding and towelsAssist with light food preparation when requiredClean and maintain communal areas, including toilets, sinks, floors, and binsCommunication & Record KeepingMaintain effective communication with the day team through accurate handoversKeep the Head of Care informed of any incidents or concerns during the nightComplete daily reports for each childRecord accidents, incidents, and medication administration accurately Health, Safety & Safeguarding Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and fire safety proceduresMaintain confidentiality at all timesAttend mandatory training and professional development sessions What We're Looking For Caring, patient, and compassionateReliable with excellent communication skillsAble to remain calm under pressureCommitted to safeguarding children and promoting their wellbeingFlexible and able to work independently during night shiftsPrevious experience in residential childcare or care work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate What We Offer Competitive rates of payComprehensive induction and ongoing trainingOpportunities for career progressionSupportive management teamA rewarding role where you can make a real difference to children's lives Safer RecruitmentAll offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and the receipt of at least two satisfactory references before employment can commence.Goldcrest Lodge is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
