  • Deliver hands-on project work for the migration of legacy telephony services toMicrosoft Teams Voice.
  • Configure, deploy, and supportTeams endpoints(handsets, headsets, common-area devices).
  • Carry out site-based readiness assessments (network, Wi-Fi, switching, cabling, device checks) alongside operational teams (Networks, Server, Voice & Uc, etc).
  • Work closely with the Voice & UC Programme team (PM's, BA's, etc) to plan, prepare and execute cutovers.
  • Engage directly with clinical teams, site leads, Estates and Digital stakeholders.
  • Perform MS Teams configuration including: - Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Resource Accounts
  • Dial Plans, Calling Policies, Voice Routing
  • Endpoint profile configuration
  • Support numberPORTsand coordination with third-party telcos.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting, user training and go-live support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation (workbooks, site inventories, cutover plans).
  • Ensure all deployments follow Trust governance, downtime authority, and change freeze processes.
  • Represent Digital Voice & UC as a subject matter expert on-site.

  • Lead site-level technical delivery for UC migrations in line with project plans.
  • Assist BA's in conducting detailed site surveys to identify required hardware, endpoints, VLANs, and infrastructure readiness.
  • Perform physical deployment of handsets and related UC equipment.
  • Ensure smooth migration for clinical and operational services, including receptions, crisis teams, community teams and inpatient wards.

  • Configure MS Teams Voice routing, policies, dial plans and user profiles.
  • Build and maintain Auto Attendants, Call Queues and resource accounts.
  • Configure and manage Teams-certified handsets (Yealink or equivalent).
  • Apply best practice for numbering, naming conventions, and governance.

  • Migrate services from legacy systems (Avaya, BT, MSD, PSTN, etc).
  • Coordinate number PORTs with telco suppliers and ensure smooth cutovers.
  • Test inbound/outbound routing, call flows, and contingency arrangements.
  • Provide second and third-line UC engineering support during go-live.

  • Work with site managers, Estates, Digital Networks, SD-WAN team, and other partners to ensure readiness.
  • Communicate clearly with services about go-lives, outages, and timelines.
  • Provide training and on-site guidance to staff where needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of migrations, configurations and asset inventories.
  • Update project workbooks, RAID logs, and documentation repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS change control, data protection, and infrastructure standards.

Education/ Qualification/ Training

Essential

  • Recognised qualification or proven experience in Microsoft Teams Voice & UC Administration (Microsoft 365/Teams certifications preferred).
  • Demonstrable project-based experience delivering UC migrations (not service desk / BAU support).

Desirable: - Evidence of continuing professional development in UC, cloud collaboration or telephony.

Experience

Essential

  • Hands-on project experience delivering Legacy Voice & UC migrations to Microsoft Teams (including physical deployment, cutovers, testing and support).
  • Experience working in busy, multi-site environments where mobility and self-management are essential.

Desirable

  • Expedience with Microsoft Teams Central Tenant
  • Experience working within NHS Digital or other large-scale public/health organisations.
  • Experience working with third-party telecommunications providers, including number PORTs.
  • Experience working with multiple UC/Voice platforms (Avaya, Cisco VOSS/CUCM, BT, Centrex, PSTN, hosted VoIP).
