- Responsible for autonomously performing Ultrasound examinations and clinically interpreting the images.
- Responsible for providing a high quality Ultrasound scans in accordance with protocols within the Ultrasound department.
- Responsible for supervision and teaching of junior and medical staff.
- Responsible for keeping up to date with current Ultrasound techniques and maintaining a CPD portfolio.

Qualifications
Essential
- DMU, PgCert, PgDip or MSc in ultrasound
Desirable
- Additional Masters level postgraduate module in specialist area of ultrasound
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in ultrasound
- Experience in training/mentoring student sonographers
Skills
Essential
- Demonstrate ability to scan accurately
- Ability to prepare reports
- Time management skills
- IT literate
- Able to act within a multidisciplinary team
- Student assesor

- Presentation skills
- Counselling skills
- Audit analysis
