The post will have a formal induction process to familiarise you with the hospital, department and specialty. There will also be an opportunity to support the development of laboratory relevant protocols and educational resources, as well as working towards publications in this specialist field.

There will be an opportunity to support research activity within H&T. As a minimum, this would include that related to the TTP registry, but will also include any other opportunities that arise.

2. Liaise with nurses, doctors, patients, relatives and senior medical staff regarding TTP patients

3. Attend and participate in ward rounds as timetabled

5. Attend weekly educational and multidisciplinary sessions

6. Supporting delivery of educational sessions relevant to TTP

7. Design and deliver educational resources relevant to TTP across the TTP network

8. Design and deliver outreach services relevant to TTP across the TTP network

9. Co-operate with members of the personnel department when monitoring hours of work and other personnel issues

10. Support H&T research activity

11. Attend induction in each hospital or new department

12. Comply with all local policies including dress code, annual and study leave

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals

  • high-quality care for all
  • being a great place to work
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate
  • we are proud
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
