Trauma Nurse Coordinator

Work as an independent practitioner supporting with management of patients with Orthopaedic needs whist requires inpatient care.

Facilitate and support the effective and efficient management of the trauma caseload ensuring operative and other interventions are undertaken in a safe and timely manner

Act as a clinical expert and professional resource of the multidisciplinary team with the Trust

Qualifications

Desirable: - Masters in an appropriate subject

Experience

Desirable: - Experience of working as a trauma CNS

Knowledge

Essential: - Extensive knowledge of orthopaedics; - Knowledge of the implications of fragility

Desirable: - Knowledge of the principles of enhanced recovery

Skills

Essential: - Excellent communication skills Organisational skills; - Computer literate and able to use word, outlook and basic excel

Desirable: - Advanced clinical nursing skills including physical assessment
