Duties will include carrying out and documenting group and individual activity sessions with patients, maintaining clinical equipment, administrative and clerical tasks, preparing and cleaning treatment areas. The job involves regularly work in and around the hydrotherapy pool. Patient sessions may include using craft activities, gardening and/or cooking to reinforce rehabilitation principles. It also involves delivering relaxation groups, assisting therapists to run sport and swimming sessions and setting up and using rehabilitation equipment/techniques. Full training and regular supervision will be provided.
The post holder will mainly be based at the RNOH Stanmore site.
Applicants should have good written and spoken English and experience of working with people with disabilities. The applicant should show initiative and be able to demonstrate basic administration and clerical skills.
The role has both clinical, organisational and general tasks to ensure the smooth running of the outpatient department and ensure quality patient experience for patients coming through the therapy outpatients and hydrotherapy pool areas.
The applicant will have to be a good communicator, well organised and enjoy a varied workload.

You will be supporting Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who provide a wide range of rehabilitation programmes for people with complex chronic musculoskeletal pain problems, hypermobility and rheumatological conditions.
Experience
Essential
- Worked in a team.
