To carry out complex technical radiotherapeutic procedures on all the treatment and pre-treatment units in the department on a rotational basis. Undertake the appropriate care of patient, assessment of treatment progress and side effects making appropriate referral to the multidisciplinary team.
For each and every practical aspect of medical exposure that is carried out to assess patients' level of knowledge before commencing with treatment and thus participate in the informed consent process.
To provide appropriate information or referring on as required. To guide, instruct and encourage patients receiving Radiotherapy and to advise patients on necessary aftercare.
To operate and care for all Radiotherapy equipment. To perform calculations to determine treatment exposure and to input and check treatment parameters on the treatment database for routine treatments.

Qualifications & Training
Essential
- DCR(T) or BSc in Radiotherapy and registered with the HPCP
- Evidence of appropriate CPD activity where relevant
Desirable
- IGRT knowledge
Previous Experience
Essential
- Student training across the breath of the Radiotherapy process.
Desirable
- OBI knowledge desired
- Post-registration experience within radiotherapy
- Experience in dealing with the public
