- To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision.
- The role demands the flexibility of being able to work across all specialities carried out within the department.
- To be responsible for preparing the operating theatre.
- The post holder will be required to provide assistance to the surgeons during all surgical procedures whether under local or general anaesthetics
- The post holder will be required to work autonomously in the theatre areas of the Trust, providing knowledge and skills for surgery in the pre-operative setting.
- The post holder is responsible for planning, implementing and assessing care of patients.
- The post holder will ensure that standards are met as per national and local guidelines, including National Frameworks.
- The post holder will participate to all the operating theatres in the Trust and expected to take part in on call, nights on and weekend duties.

- NMC / HCPC registered with Theatre/ scrub experience
