An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to join the Urology Day Case Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital. ...
The successful candidate will be a registered practitioner holding either NMC registration with an anaesthetic qualification desirable but not essential or HCPC registration as an ODP. Working as part of the Urology Day Case theatre team, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient day-to-day running of urology operating lists, some of which are undertaken within the Surgical Theatres department.
The role also includes rotation through our Flexible Cystoscopy Clinic, where you will support the smooth running of clinics, assist clinicians during diagnostic endoscopic procedures, and contribute to delivering a high standard of patient care.
As a department, we are committed to supporting the development of learners and regularly accommodate a variety of trainees and students. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to creating a positive, engaging and well-supported learning environment through effective mentorship and supervision.
Flexibility and adaptability are essential for this position. The role includes participation in a weekend and Bank Holiday rota based within Surgical Theatres. Weekday shifts may be scheduled between 07:30 and 21:00, and the post includes an on-call commitment.
